The Artist

Twila Robar-DeCoste, of Aylesford, Nova Scotia, is a self-taught artist and illustrator, living and working in Nova Scotia’s beautiful Annapolis Valley She holds BSc., M Sc., and B Ed., degrees from Acadia University. She was elected to the Society of Canadian Artists in 2009 and is currently president of the Botanical Artists of Nova Scotia Association (BANSA).
Twila works in watercolour, acrylic, oil and pen and ink to create realistic paintings of native birds and animals, botanical paintings, landscapes, and seascapes.
Twila has exhibited work throughout Atlantic Canada and Ontario, and her art can be found in many corporate and private collections in North America and Europe.
A licensed teacher and art-educator, Twila offers painting instruction, private instruction, day long workshops and eight-week classes both at Windsong Studio and other locations. Beginning and emerging artists are welcome to join her for well-prepared lessons and informative demonstrations.
